Announcing to her family at four years of age that she was going to become a rockstar, Cairns belle GEORGIAXBYRNE is heading in the right direction to make her childhood aspiration a reality.<\/p>\n

Arriving on the scene in 2020 with her debut Blank Spaces and follow-up single Sorry, Georgia has started her music career strong, climbing the Triple J charts and racking up over 20,000 streams on Spotify. A huge win for an artist who creates music in her bedroom alongside studying at university full-time and working a day job.<\/p>\n

Dabbling in the musical ponds of electronica and pop, Georgia\u2019s latest release \u2013 third single Better Man \u2013 weaves pulsing synths and bass heavy lines into a bouncy, light-hearted number that addresses the universal theme of heartbreak from a positive angle of self-love.<\/p>\n

\u201cBetter Man is about moving on from a past love and realising what you never had before \u2013 knowing how you should be treated and not settling for less. It\u2019s a different vibe from my past two singles as I\u2019ve developed as a writer and made a few big changes in my life and to the people around me,\u201d said the songstress, who teamed up with Gold Coast producer Soft Nylon (Dylan Lindquist) for the track.<\/p>\n

Inspired personally and professionally by strong female pop artists like megastar Taylor Swift and local heroines Vera Blue and Mallrat, Georgia says her work in the music industry has been a learning curve that\u2019s taught her to stand firm in her self-worth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve definitely faced a few obstacles already within this industry. Being a small female, emerging artist comes with its struggles such as being second guessed constantly and not taken seriously but it genuinely does spark a drive in me to work harder.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, measuring success is a hard one. I make sure I celebrate the small wins when it comes to my music, so when the big wins do come along it\u2019s a very special occasion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gaining momentum with each release, Georgia says she\u2019s looking forward to working on more singles, getting back into the live music scene that she missed during covid-19 restrictions, and making new connections through her music.<\/p>\n
